Villa dei Quadri is a unique abandoned location in Piedmont, characterized by a property composed of several buildings and spaces that, despite years of abandonment, still preserve numerous testimonies of the past.

The structure features very different areas: from the first houses, now almost completely empty, to the main body of the villa, where there are still paintings, photographs, furniture, clothes, books, comics and numerous everyday objects .

The location of the venue is not being disclosed, so as to contribute to the conservation of the rooms and objects still present.

The ownership structure

The property is made up of several buildings and rooms , distributed within the same complex.

The initial part includes some houses and a warehouse, while once past the garden fence that separates this area from the rest of the property you reach the most interesting core: the main abandoned villa and the buildings connected to it.

The presence of structures with different functions makes exploration particularly varied. This is not a simple abandoned dwelling, but a complex of houses, service spaces, warehouses, a laboratory, and outdoor areas .

The condition of the buildings varies significantly from one area to another: some rooms are now almost completely empty, while others have preserved a large quantity of objects.

The first homes on the property

The first two houses you come across inside the property are now almost empty .

However, they are interesting for observing the state of deterioration reached by the structure. There are cracks on the walls, while some floors on the upper floors are unstable.

Next to the houses is a first warehouse, also characterized by a time-worn atmosphere. It remains closed and contains a tractor and other items.

It is above all beyond this first part of the property that the true heart of the location is found.

The Villa of the Paintings

Once past the fence separating the first structures from the main part of the property, the environment changes completely.

The villa still retains numerous elements from the era in which it was used: furniture, photographs, documents, clothes, books, games and other personal objects remain inside the rooms.

This makes the location particularly interesting because it allows you to observe not only the building, but also a large quantity of objects left inside.

The villa therefore gives the impression of having remained suspended in time, with rooms in which it is still possible to recognize many of the activities and habits of those who frequented it.

The paintings and posters

One of the most characteristic elements of the villa are naturally the paintings , from which the name by which this location is known derives.

Inside, numerous works and posters are displayed throughout the villa. Many depict artistic nudes , creating a unique visual element within the villa.

The paintings coexist with furniture, photographs and other objects left in the rooms, helping to create some of the most recognizable environments of the location.

They are therefore not simply decorations left on the walls: they are part of the villa's very identity and represent one of its most distinguishing features.

What's still inside?

The quantity and variety of the objects preserved are probably one of the most interesting aspects of the location.

In the rooms you can find photographs, documents, furniture, clothes, books and comics , including many issues of Mickey Mouse .

There are also games and numerous everyday objects, which remained in the various rooms without having been completely removed.

These elements allow us to reconstruct a part of daily life related to the home and are particularly interesting from a photographic point of view.

The value of these spaces is therefore not only architectural: the objects themselves tell the story of the villa.

Car, van and scooter

There are also several vehicles inside the property.

Under the portico in front of the villa there are a Fiat van and a Mercedes , while in another area of the property there is a second Mercedes, now in an accident.

In the warehouse you can find a scooter , along with numerous bicycles and other objects.

The presence of the vehicles adds a further element to the visit, especially since they are located within a property where many other objects belonging to everyday life are still preserved.

The warehouse

The warehouse represents another area particularly rich in material.

Inside there are bicycles, a scooter, paintings, lawnmowers and various tools , as well as other objects accumulated over the years.

It is a very different environment from the rooms of the villa: while in the house the elements linked to domestic life predominate, in the warehouse the main focus is on equipment, means and work objects .

This difference allows us to observe another part of the history of the property.

The laboratory and the staircase with the British flag

Another building on the property is the laboratory , connected to the main part of the villa.

However, the conditions of this space are much more compromised. A section of the laboratory has collapsed, leaving the building in a particularly deteriorated condition.

Among the most recognizable elements of the location is a staircase with a United Kingdom flag , which leads to the rooms of the house.

It is one of the most photographed and characteristic details of the entire property, especially for the contrast between the flag and the environment now marked by abandonment.

Theft and vandalism

Despite the presence of numerous objects within the property, the villa also presents a particular aspect from the point of view of conservation.

There is no evidence of graffiti, writing or widespread vandalism within the main areas.

This is far from a given in abandoned locations, where the passage of time can lead to the progressive destruction of interiors.

However, the villa is not entirely intact. Some items are missing, and there are elements that appear to have been removed over time. Clear examples include the absence of paintings from the walls, lighters from a large collection, toy cars, various games, and the property's nativity scene, which is missing some of its figurines.

Nevertheless, the presence of items that have remained, despite these losses, makes the villa particularly interesting to document.

Conclusions

The Villa dei Quadri is a special location above all for the variety of what is still present inside .

The first houses mainly show signs of deterioration, while the main body of the villa still preserves furniture, photographs, documents, clothes, books, comics, games and numerous paintings and posters.

Added to these are the portico with the vehicles, the warehouse with bicycles, a scooter, equipment and tools, the now partially collapsed laboratory and some particularly recognisable details, such as the staircase with the Union Jack.

The absence of graffiti and evident vandalism in most of the rooms also allows us to still observe today a significant amount of evidence of the property's past life.

A location where the real interest is not only the villa, but everything that remains inside.
